Born February 18, 1961 in New Jersey, Elisha McCulloh moved on to Trinidad, Florida, and North Carolina before returning to her family's Hoosier roots in 1974. Her studies at the University of Indianapolis and Indiana University (Indpls.) have focused primarily on art, sociology, and literature. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and their three children.
Elisha is currently finishing her second novel, Ellswyth Reclaimed, a sequel to The Shoe Box Plague. She plans to write at least one more book in this series before moving on to another project.
Ever intrigued by things spiritual and psychological, Elisha combines these elements with her love of literature and the arts in her first novel, The Shoe Box Plague.
Elisha is available for speaking engagements on these and other topics: the writing experience in general; her writing in specific; finding courage to follow your heart; abuse recovery from a personal perspective; and the healing power of community. She also has experience with and enjoys conducting writing workshops for youth and young adults.
